Second is the website for Gotham Writers' Workshop. I've taken a class with Gotham and it was a wonderful experience. It is rewarding to have your writing critiqued by, and read the writing of, writers who are very serious about improving their craft. As soon as I can, I plan on taking more classes with them. I recommend Gotham to anyone who is serious about their writing
I added a couple of links to my list today. I'm sure NaNoWriMo is known to everyone who is interested in writing. But I started my first novel, Ravenspeak, during NaNo, so I have a soft spot for the site.

I started writing my first novel - Ravenspeak - in February a few years back. So maybe February is a fortuitous month to start my next one. My goal for the month is 20,000 words, or a little under 1000 words a day. I have the week of the 15th off, so my plan is to really pound out the words that week.
At the moment I have about 2200 words - the opening scene and a scene from the middle. I have this awesome climax in my head. I think I might write that next. You see, I have a bad habit of jumping around a bit. I mean, I generally write from the beginning to the end. However, every once in awhile, a scene will come into my head and I'll have to write it next. |
